Clapper Chess For Real

Lights, Cameras... Check!

This is an interesting chapter. Of course nowadays any website about chess is not complete without videos. It’s very fashionable offer lessons and game analysis on this format… but what I have noticed, and pretty sure you and many others as well, is that there are a vast quantity of videos but there is no order of any kind. The student does not know what to study first and, for example, he can find:

  • a subtle positional battle between two grandmasters of top level, even if the amateur (maybe) barely knows what weakness means
  • and after that, a complex rook and minor pieces endgame, when he should be digesting the Philidor position in first place!
  • and to have some fun out of it, after this previous examples, I found a video about king endgames… with a rook pawn! :D

(This is an actual example in a website for chess amateurs, but we won’t publish the link)

So our video library will be organized like this:

  • Tutorials about the tools of the trade, the how to, with what the masters and the soon-to-be, study, train and prepare for tournaments. Some of this tools are very known, but do you know everything you can do with them? Step by step, audio, video and articles.
  • A structured content about all the stages of the game, and in an order of growing complexity to avoid you jumping learning stages. Say good bye to random videos.

Feedback will be greatly appreciated. If there is something else you would like to say, I will be glad to hear it.

Ad Majorem Caissa Gloriam! :)
